After years of uplifting environmental justice concerns, the City of Los Angeles has partnered with community-based organizations to gather feedback as they embark on a comprehensive effort to centralize and strengthen environmental justice policies in the City’s General Plan. CBE is collaborating with the City to engage community members in introducing and gathering feedback for the Health and Environmental Justice Element. See the update and the Open Space Element.
CBE, Esperanza Community Housing, and PSR-LA will be co-hosting a workshop dedicated to the Open Space Element on October 22, 2025 from 5-8 PM at the Natural History Museum. We will provide transportation, food, translation, and raffle prizes!
